Behind a goal 15 minutes into the match, the Madera Coyote girls soccer team held off the Edison-Fresno Tigers for a 1-0 County/Metro Athletic Conference victory.
Andrea Hernandez scored her second goal in as many games with a 28-yard shot that went into the upper left corner of the net.
“She cleared the cobwebs in the upper corner,” head coach Eli Liuba said. “We had so many opportunities. We took a lot of shots.”
