After winning the first game of the Old Towne Clovis Kiwanis New Year’s Classic, the Madera Coyote girls basketball team couldn’t put the finishing touches in its next three games and finished the tournament 1-3.
After a tough loss to County/Metro Athletic Conference rival Bullard-Fresno, the Coyotes couldn’t get points on the board in the final minutes in a 48-45 loss to Lemoore on Saturday.
“Our effort today was much better than it has been the past couple of days,” head coach Jason Smith said. “We have to learn how to execute. Our execution and decision-making are very poor.”
