After opening the season with a 5-0 thumping of the Yosemite-Oakhurst Badgers, the Madera boys soccer team was primed and ready to take on a physical Hanford squad just two days later.

The defending County/ Metro Athletic Conference champion Coyotes handed the Bullpups a 2-0 loss on a chilly Wednesday night at Memorial Stadium.

After back-to-back home shutout victories, the Coyotes hope to keep the momentum going as they open up play in the Harold S. Young Tournament against Farmersville today at 9 a.m.

Against the Bullpups, Madera (2-0) received a goal each from seniors Marco Cisneros and Sergio Perez while junior forward Jimmy Barajas recorded an assist...
