Coyotes, Stallions gear up for CMAC championships

Runners from the Madera and Madera South cross country teams will put all their hard work on the line as they compete in the County/Metro Athletic Conference championships.

With a chance to qualify for the upcoming CIF Central Section Finals, the Coyotes and Stallions will run today at Fresno’s Woodward Park with the first race beginning at 1 p.m. Varsity races begin at 3 p.m.

Madera South’s boys and girls cross country teams enter as the favorites to repeat as league champs.

For Stallion head coach Rich Parris, he’s looking for all the teams in his section and state-wide respected program to go six-for-six in races including the frosh/soph, JV and varsity ones...
