Coyotes run out of luck

Throughout the season the Madera Coyote boys soccer team used a lot of skill, but also had some luck in winning the County/Metro Athletic Conference and earning a No. 3 seed in the Division I playoffs.

However, luck ran out on the Coyotes Tuesday night in a 3-1 loss to No. 7 LibertyBakersfield in the semifinals of the Division I playoffs. “Lady Luck was not on our side,” head coach Chris Baca said. “Our kids played their hearts out.”

The Coyotes scored in the sixth minute, but Liberty came back and scored a minute later to tie the game. The Patriots added a goal in the 19th minute and in the 79th minute for the victory.
