CLOVIS – After losing two of its last three games, the Madera Coyote softball team finished out the Clovis Easter Softball Classic with three straight wins, including two on Tuesday.

The Coyotes opened Tuesday with a 2-0 victory over Clovis North as pitcher Carissa McMillon tossed a one-hit shutout.

“Carissa pitched well. She made some good pitches and hit her spots,” head coach Judy Shaubach said.

Madera closed the tournament with a commanding 9-3 victory over Hanford, a team they had beat two other times this season, to improve to 11-12 heading into spring break. This is just the second time all season the Coyotes have won two games in a day...
