After two blowout victories the past two weeks, the Madera Coyote football team will face a more dynamic opponent in the Paso Robles Bearcats tonight at 7:30 p.m. in its first home game of the season.
While the Coyotes (2-1) have seemed invincible in the past two contests, scoring on huge gains and remaining relatively mistake-free, head coach Scott McKinney said the Bearcats (1-1) would present a more difficult challenge.
“They’re a CMAC-caliber team,” McKinney said of the Bearcats, referring to the County/Metro Athletic Conference that the Coyotes are members of. “They’re a good test for us that comes at the right time.”
