The Madera Coyote girls tennis team defeated Hanford West on Saturday to take third place in Division 7 at the California Girls Tennis Classic.

The Coyotes went 2-1 on Friday to advance to Division 7 with victories over Dinuba and Woodcreek of Roseville.

Coyote No. 1 player Sam Tiscareno went 5-0 in the tournament, including 3-0 as a singles player. Michelle Silva also went 5-0 in the tournament, including a 4-0 mark in singles.

Flora Flores was undefeated in three singles matches...
