The Madera Coyote football team will march into Dinuba’s football stadium tonight to face, not just a team, but an entire city to open the 2012 season.

The Emperors finished 11-1 last season after losing to Kingsburg in the semifinals of the Division IV playoffs and hope for another successful season.

The Coyotes have questions with a young team, but are poised to face the challenge.

“It’s scary because we have a young team and they have a team that thinks they are going to win at home,” head coach Scott McKinney said. “I’m confident our kids will come out to compete. We are going to play a town, not just a football team. Our fans will learn about supporting a football team.” ...
