FRESNO — With the two-day Peggy Renberg Tournament upon the Madera Coyote girls soccer team, head coach Garrett Perez hopes to develop more chemistry within his team. 

“We lost 11 players from last year’s team so we have a lot of new faces,” Perez said. “We have a lot of talent on the team. It’s a matter of finding the right place for the right pieces this year.”

The Coyotes opened the Peggy Renberg with a 3-0 loss to the Clovis West Golden Eagles at Clovis West High School Friday morning.

  “Last week, we had a bad loss in our first game (at the Harold S. Young Tournament), but we had a nice talk and bounced back to win the next three games,” Perez said. “Hopefully, this loss is another wake-up call.” ...
