After a difficult loss last week, the Madera High Coyotes look to bounce back against the Tulare Western High Mustangs in this year’s homecoming game.

Madera (2-2) comes into the game after losing 42-27 against Paso Robles last week in a game they led 27-20 with 10 minutes left.

Head coach Scott McKinney said that even with such a tough loss, his team remained focused on development.

“Our mentality’s good,” McKinney said. “I think our kids really understand what the preseason’s about. Both our losses, with corrections, are winnable games. I asked them early in the year to learn from all our preseason games and be prepared to play in the CMAC. I think they’ve continued to foster those things this week.” ...
