Coyotes look to grab first CMAC win

After a disappointing loss last week to open conference play, the Madera Coyotes look to regain momentum against the Sanger Apaches in a game that has the potential to be a highlight-filled shootout.

“We will be challenged,” Coyote Head Coach Scott McKinney said. “They are a tough, hard-nosed football team.”

The Apaches (5-1, 1-1 CMAC) come into the game ranked first in County Metro Athletic Conference play following a stunning upset of conference powerhouse Edison 35-29.

The Coyotes (3-3, 0-1 CMAC) enter the game following a difficult loss last week to San Joaquin Memorial 35-33. The game was filled with highlight-worthy plays and wasn’t decided until a 44-yard field goal by the Coyotes missed barely wide right in the final 12 seconds...
