The Madera Coyote girls volleyball team showed some fight in their first game at home since winning the Division II Valley Championship last season.

Facing former Tri-River Athletic Conference opponent Buchanan for the first time in three years, the Coyotes picked up a set in a 3-1 loss Thursday in Joe Flores Gym.

The second set 25-22 victory marked the first time Madera picked up a win against the Bears since 2007.

However, the Bears took the match, winning 25-15, 25-17 and 25-11 in the other three sets...
