The Madera Coyote boys volleyball team accomplished the goals that its head coach set to begin the second half of the County/Metro Athletic Conference season.

The Coyotes controlled their match with the San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno Panthers from the start and were never in serious trouble in a 25-10, 25-15, 25-15 win Thursday in Joe Flores Gym.

“I was a little concerned because four of my starters were involved in a two-day school activity,” head coach Rhonda Jefferson said. “They put that behind them and played well. We were able to get a lot of players into the game tonight.

“They were able to reach both of the goals I set for them tonight — win in three and not force me to call a time out.”…
