Coyotes get decisive win over Stallions in CMAC

In the short history of the Madera/Madera South softball match-up, the scores have been relatively close and competitive, until this year.

Save for a Kristina Valle double high off the center field wall, Madera pitcher Jackie Anzaldo had her way with the Stallion batters, tossing a one-hitter in a 10-0 mercy-rule victory Tuesday at Zimmerman Field.

The first meeting as County/Metro Athletic Conference opponents found the teams on opposite ends of the conference standings. The Coyotes finished the first half of the CMAC schedule in second place behind undefeated Bullard-Fresno. Meanwhile, Madera South is just above Edison-Fresno for fourth place.

The Coyotes scored a run in the first, four in the second, one in the third, two in the fifth and two more in the sixth for the victory...
