It’s never easy playing three games in a week, but the Madera Coyotes have managed to find ways to win, even in somewhat lackluster fashion.

After dispensing of the Sanger Apaches 5-2 Tuesday behind a winning performance from pitcher Isaac Granado (5- 2) and Justin Bowles breaking out with a 2-for-3 day with a double and three RBIs, Madera (13-9, 6-4) took on the San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno Panthers (5-17, 2-8) Wednesday in a critical County/Metro Athletic Conference contest.

The Coyotes rode the pitching performance of Juan Aguilar, who tossed a complete game six-hitter with six strikeouts and a pair of walks.

Aguilar (3-1) was expected to be a major contributor on the mound this season, but early on had trouble with location. But in the past four or five games, the flame-throwing righthander has found his stuff...
