For the third time this season, the Madera boys’ basketball team had to face the defending County/Metro Athletic Conference and C.I.F. Central Section Division I champion, Bullard-Fresno.
Once again, the Coyotes (6-20, 2-8 CMAC) were no match for the Knights (26-3, 9-1 CMAC) as Bullard clinched the co-league title with San Joaquin MemorialFresno in an 80-25 victory Thursday night in the regular season finale at Joe Flores Gym.
Bullard, which beat the Coyotes twice by an average of 56 points, appeared more than ready to defend its throne as it looked sharp against a Madera team that had won its two previous league games, including a 47-44 win Tuesday at Sunnyside-Fresno.
