In what was supposed to be a tough match, but still a victory, for the Madera Coyote girls soccer team turned into a 2-0 wake-up call loss against the Sanger Apaches in Memorial Stadium.
“It seemed like we came in overconfident,” head coach Eli Liuba said. “We’re a better team than what we showed on the field. Nothing clicked for us.”
The Coyotes came into Wednesday night’s match with a 2-0 record in the County/Metro Athletic Conference, while the Apaches came in 0-2.
