Shellie Perkins had no intention of being denied again.

After failing to score a point for the first time in her four-year varsity career last week in a 58-11 loss to No. 5 ranked Edison, Perkins scored a game-high 13 points and five steals to lead the Coyotes (11- 9, 2-1) to a landslide 59-23 win over Sanger (5-14, 0-3) on Tuesday in Joe Flores Gym.

“We played a very complete game and executed in all phases of the game,” said Madera head coach Jason Smith. “We played our game without paying attention to the score and got after it all game getting contributions from every player.”

The Coyotes now find themselves in a tie for second place in the TRAC with Edison and undefeated Bullard-Fresno looming ahead Wednesday...
