Coyotes better, but fall to Broncos

After losing two games to the Bakersfield Drillers in the semifinals of the Madera Classic volleyball tournament on Saturday, Madera Coyote girls volleyball coach Robyn Royston was unhappy with her team’s play.

But after a 3-1 loss to the Tri-River Athletic Conference’s Clovis North Broncos, Royston was happy with what she saw Tuesday in Joe Flores Gym.

“That was a good team and we played well,” she said. “They stepped up.”
