With just one week left to prepare for the regular season opener in Dinuba, the Madera Coyote football team took on Tulare Union in a Friday night scrimmage at Memorial Stadium.
The scrimmage against the Division I Redskins gave Madera head coach Scott McKinney a chance to evaluate his players before the Coyotes officially kick off Friday night in Dinuba at 7:30.
“We’ll have to look at the film, but we have some building blocks to work on at practice this week,” McKinney said. “We didn’t get to see everything in the scrimmage like field goals or PATs, so it’s a whole different beast next week. We tried to simulate what we would normally do on game days from our pregame meal to team meetings.”
