Madera’s Nicole Nava set the Tom Moore Relays freshman/sophomore record to win the 1,600-meter run and the 800-meter run in Modesto.

Nava ran the 1,600 in 5:47 while recording a 2:32 in the 800-meter run Saturday.

Flora Flores also won the frosh/soph high jump with a jump of 4-feet, 4-inches. The 4X400 meter relay team of Nava, Alexis Miguel, Vivian Cortez and Natalie Johnson placed third.

In the varsity track meet, Jessica Petroff and Evan Whitlock placed in the top three in two events...
