The Madera coyote girls basketball team used a 10-0 run to separate itself from the San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno Panthers for a 57-37 victory.
With the win Friday night, the Coyotes (14-9, 5-1) won their fourth straight game and kept pace with EdisonFresno and Bullard-Fresno for the top spot in the County/Metro Athletic Conference. It also marked the first time the Coyotes have won four straight games in head coach Jason Smith’s four years at Madera.
The Coyotes also scored 50 or more points for the fifth time in the CMAC. Previously, the Coyotes eclipsed the 50-point mark just once.
Shellie Perkins led Madera with 12 points and had five rebounds. Breanna Torres scored 11 with nine rebounds. Chayla Green scored 10 points with eight rebounds. Jenny Gallegos added nine points with five rebounds and five steals...
