When it comes to playing homes games on the historic Mel Parker Field, the Madera baseball team has been nearly unbeatable on it for the past two years.

The defending Div. II section champion Coyotes (8-3) picked up two more home wins in the Central Baseball Classic with a 5-2 victory over Buhach Colony-Atwater on Saturday morning after overwhelming Liberty 13-0 on Friday evening.

In a two-year span, the Coyotes are 16-1 at home and host Golden Valley-Merced today at 3:30 p.m. in a tournament game that was rescheduled from Feb. 28.

“We’re .500 on the road but playing games at home I just think that alone relaxes our guys and they see the ball better,” Madera head coach Andy Underwood said...
