Coyote and Stallion athletes hold own in CMAC/NYL relays

In the County/Metro Athletic Conference/North Yosemite League Relays, both the Madera and Madera South track and field teams had several athletes rise to the top in their respective events.

The Stallions had a total of seven first place finishes with the boys team winning five of them while the Coyotes girls had four winners Wednesday evening in Memorial Stadium.

“I thought we had a really solid performance overall,” Stallions head coach Rich Parris said. “I thought we had some nice hurdles and did a nice job in the pole vault. Our distance runners shined last night at every level and they were very much committed for us.”

Those top placing Madera South athletes included Jose Herrera, Andre Wiltz, Cristal Rivera, Uriel Cabanas, Frank Maldonado, Ismael Guzman and Jenae Hansen...
