Coaches from the Chivas USA youth development program hosted a youth soccer clinic at Liberty High School.

In conjunction with the Southeast Madera County Unified Foundation, the Madera County Board of Supervisors, Golden Valley Unified School District and the Madera Youth Soccer League, about 100 soccer players participated in the clinic Saturday and Sunday.

Madera County Supervisor Manuel Nevarez, Golden Valley Unified School Board trustee Steven Lewis, Madera Unified School District board memberd Ric Arredondo and Liberty boys soccer coach Darryl Ratzlaff were also on hand to help with the clinic.

About 25 players won a Chivas USA scarf during a drawing and each player had the opportunity to sign up for a drawing to receive a ticket to the Chivas USA vs. New York Red Bull soccer match on August 25 in Carson, which includes transportation on a chartered bus.
