Former Madera Coyote Ashley Chavira has earned a starting spot with the Montreat (North Carolina) Cavaliers in the Appalachia Athletic Conference.
The Cavaliers are 12-4 this season in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and 5-2 in the AAC.
Montreat recently had its eight-game winning streak stopped with losses to Bluefield (Va.) and Reinhardt (Ga.).
