Charging Knights rumble into Coyote senior night

Tonight could mark the 2013 senior class of Madera Coyote football players’ final home game, and they couldn’t have picked a tougher County/Metro Athletic Conference opponent to showcase their skills to family and friends.

Bullard-Fresno (7-1, 3-0 CMAC) enters the contest as a team many — including Madera South head coach Scott Donegan after his team lost to the Knights 55-0 — predict to beat the Edison-Fresno Tigers, the Central Valley’s number-one team and ranked 11th in the state.

Coyote head coach Bonner Cunnings was no different when talking about tonight’s game.

“If I had to make my bet, nothing against [Edison head coach] Matt Johnson, but if I had to make my bet on who’s going to win the CMAC, I’d bet on Bullard. They’re fast, they’re physical, and they’re extremely disciplined. It’s going to be a tough, tough match.” ...
