Cervantez Remodeling knocked out of TOC

CHOWCHILLA — It took just four innings for Chowchilla’s Associated Feed to advance in the Tournament of Champions as it scored 13 runs against Madera National Little League AAA champion Cervantez Remodeling.

After taking a trip the Madera Little League AAA City Championship game, the magical season came to end Tuesday for Cervantez in a 13-3 loss to Associated Feed on Kilday Field in the first game of the TOC.

“Chowchilla was an outstanding and well coached team,” Cervantez head coach Larry Cervantes said. “But I’m really proud of my team. Christian Alvarez did a great job pitching and Alejo Mauro was unbelievable behind the plate at catcher.”

Cervantez only trailed 7-3 but Associated Feed scored five runs in the final two innings to invoke the 10-run mercy rule...
