Former Stanford associate head coach Trisha Ford has been named the new head coach of the Fresno State softball program, according to a Fresno State press release.

Fresno State Director of Athletics Thomas Boeh announced Ford’s hiring Monday to take over the nation’s second-winningest program.

After serving the last nine years at Stanford, Ford becomes the fourth head coach in the 35-year program. She spent the last four years as the associate head coach.

In nine years with the Cardinal, Ford helped guide Stanford to a 385-155 (.713 winning percentage) overall record and to the NCAA Tournament each season...
