The Fresno State women’s basketball team sat patiently in the Josephine Theater on campus Monday afternoon awaiting their fate for the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
As the Des Moines Regional was announced, the capacity crowd erupted in applause for the program’s fifth straight tournament bid.
This season’s WAC championship squad will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. as the No. 12 seed and will face the No. 5 seed Georgetown Hoyas. The game will be at 9:20 a.m. Sunday on ESPN2.
