With the big game approaching Sunday, many people had their opinions on who would win. Whether it be Peyton Manning getting his second ring and first with the Denver Broncos, or Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll getting his first.

Like many San Francisco 49ers fans, I will be watching the Super Bowl to catch the commercials, eat a lot and hope for a good game.

Personally, I am rooting for Peyton to get his second ring. It’s sad that the commentary on his career is based that he has won only one Super Bowl. Basically, if you’re good, you’re good and rings shouldn’t decide if you aren’t. Also, can you expect a diehard 49ers fan to root for their rivals?

Here are some opinions from athletic staff at Madera, Madera South and Liberty high schools and The Madera Tribune reporters...
