The Madera Coyote girls basketball team silenced the Madera South Stallions for almost two quarters for a 44-17 victory at in the latest version of the crosstown rivalry.
The Coyotes went on a 23-0 run for a 33-6 fourth quarter lead to silence Madera South’s gym Thursday night.
“We worked hard on our gap defense and to stop their driving lanes,” Madera head coach Jason Smith said. “We did our best job of gaps tonight. When we went to our full-court pressure defense, we also got good results.”
