After six innings, it came down to a balk call. The Liberty Hawks baseball team tied the game in the bottom of the fifth, but a balk call forced in the go-ahead run for the Madera South Stallions in 3-2 win to finish a rain shortened Central Baseball Classic game Thursday at Liberty.

The Stallions took a 2-1 lead heading into the fifth before the rains hit on Wednesday, causing a postponement.

As play resumed Thursday in the bottom of the fifth, pinchhitter Wyatt Gorman singled to right. Stallion pitcher Jake Reyes threw a wild pitch as Gorman went ot second. Michael Bronkowski grounded out as Gorman took third.
