The Madera South Stallions girls volleyball team picked a bad time to play its worse match of the season against the Sanger Apaches.
The Apaches and Stallions went into Thursday’s matchup with identical 2-1 County/Metro Athletic Conference records. After Sanger defeated the Stallions in three easy games, the Stallions were looking to regroup with the Madera Coyotes on the horizon.
The Stallions, who were already without the services of single-season kills and blocks leader Justine Williams, recorded just 16 kills in the match.
