Out of the six games the Madera American 9-10-year-old All-Stars’ team played in District 10 Little League Tournament, the only two losses it suffered came against River Park-Fresno American.

Madera American’s latest loss to River Park American was an 8-4 defeat Saturday in Fresno after staying alive in the double-elimination tournament with a 5-2 win at River Park National on Friday.

In Saturday’s loss, Madera American was led at the plate by Cirrus Zamora, who went 3-for-4, while leadoff batter Nick Luna was 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs. Madera American also got hits from Nathaniel Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with an RBI; C.J. Robinson (1-for-2, run); and Jordan Flowers (1-for-2, RBI). Murf Gray scored a run and stole a base while Brian Monges had a walk and stolen base.
