Opinion: Defending President Trump

President Trump has been criticized by people of color saying his Make America Great Again campaign is racist code for Make America White Again. It is because he wants our citizens to identify themselves as Americans. Those who want to pledge allegiance to another country should move to a different country.

His comments they should “go back,” has generated outrage from both sides of the aisle.

It is hard to celebrate being Caucasian. The Irish, Scottish, and other European descendants that spawned our family are now just memories. Soon they too shall be forgotten. I like to joke about my heritage because I know so little about my roots. I can’t even identify any of these ancestors by name past my mother’s immediate family.

Loyalty to America is vital to the health of our country. We can love our nation and not embrace all its actions.

Throwing color in the mix is begging for an angry confrontation. The Black Panthers, the Brown Berets and Red Neck Rebels use these monikers to emphases skin color. What they generate are hatred and fear.

Celebration of white strength doesn’t only mean violent skinheads or people wearing white robes and hoods. Not all white people are racists. Not all immigrants are criminals. Illegal aliens by definition are committing crimes just being here. Giving them a wink and a nod is the same as allowing all crimes to go unchallenged.

President Trump is trying to Make America Great Again. He isn’t wringing his hands because the job is so much more difficult than he imagined. I am sure he knew it was going to be all-consuming but had no idea congress would so aggressively work to prevent many of his programs.

I saw a comparison between Bernie Sanders and my President. It stated Sanders has been in congress 40 years and Trump’s two years in D.C. has ruined the country. It hasn’t.

Not everyone who voted for President Trump still supports him. I certainly find fault with some of his actions. That doesn’t mean we should impeach him. I hope he wins a second term and the actions to overthrow the president need to stop. Questioning his actions is part of the checks and balances system we enjoy. Actively trying to overthrow the leader of the free world is criminal and bad for America.

Being First Lady is a stressful existence for Melina Trump.

One of her more notable Tweets came following a riot in that resulted in the murder of Heather Heyer and the serious injury of at least 19 others:

“Our country encourages freedom of speech, but let’s communicates w/o hate in our hearts. No good comes from violence. #Charlottesville

It seems there are members of congress being motivated by hate. The positive programs President Trump has created shouldn’t be nullified by the opinions of a few members of the legislature.

What is worse is the members of Congress who support President Trump hasn’t censured these attempts to overthrow the government. I guess since they aren’t after the houses of congress they can be encouraged to go after the executive branch.

Immigrants are not the cause of all the problems in the The USA. Never believe they are.

Long days and pleasant nights, have a great weekend.
