Madera County Sheriff's Log: June 4-July 9

June 4

3:13 p.m. — Deputy took a rape report in the 2700 block of Falcon Drive in Madera. Case forwarded to detectives.

9:12 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 2400 block of Avenue 12 in Madera regarding a female suspect trespassing. The suspect was arrested and booked in Madera Department of Corrections.

June 5

6:48 a.m. — Deputy responded to the 40000 block of Rock Point Road in Oakhurst for a report of a burglary. Deputy arrived and learned the victim woke up to the sound of his garage door being opened. It was unsure of anything was taken.

7:08 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the area of Avenue 20 ½ and Road 24 in Chowchilla regarding a male subject jumping into traffic. The male subject was contacted and found to have a misdemeanor warrants. The subject was arrested and transported to Madera Department of Corrections.

June 6

10:32 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the area of Long Hollow Drive and Glacier Drive in Coarsegold regarding a report of some intoxicated juveniles and some type of physical disturbance that was occurring. A male subject was found to be intoxicated and had assaulted several people. The male juvenile was arrested and booked into Madera County Juvenile Hall on several misdemeanor charges.

June 7

12:11 a.m. — Deputy responded to the 28000 block of Lada Avenue in Madera for a report of vandalism. An investigation was conducted and a male juvenile was arrested and booked into Madera County Juvenile Hall.

June 8

3:41 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 14000 block of Huntington Road in Madera regarding a suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and statements were obtained. Subject was placed on a hold and transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

11:50 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and CA-49 in Oakhurst regarding a physical altercation. Deputy arrived and learning the altercation was a road rage incident and the victim was struck in the face by an unknown individuals’ fist. The victim was checked out by Sierra Ambulance personnel at the scene subject declined further medical attention. A person of interest has been identified.

June 9

1:48 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to a horse abuse case in the 10000 block of Avenue 14 in Madera. A horse was found to be in such gave condition it needed to be euthanized. The owner was arrested and booked without incident. Case forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s Office and Madera County Animal Control.

July 3

4 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 26000 block of Ellis Street in Madera regarding a brush fire. Suspect was arrested on unrelated warrants and public intoxication. Case forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for filing of charges.
