Quilt show to revisit Madera


For The Madera Tribune Heart of California Quilters’ Guild member Marty Wyatt, left, displays her handiwork on one of her many quilts at her Rotary Club meeting. Many examples of the guild members’ work will be on display March 2 and 3 at Hatfield Hall at the Madera District Fairgrounds.

 

Heart of California Quilters’ Guild will host play host at its biennial two-day quilt show. A Rainbow of Quilts will fill Hatfield Hall at the Madera District Fairgrounds 1850 W. Cleve Avenue, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3.

Adults admission are $8 one-day or $12 two-day pass. Children ages 6 to 12, $2 with children 5 and younger free.

Featured Quilters this year, Anita Frede and Janet Morita are both long-time valued members of the guild, said member Linda Parkhurst.

Additional features at the show include snacks from the Quilter’s Cafe, a Children’s Treasure Hunt, raffle and door prizes, vendors and the opportunity to see all the beautiful quilts and other items on display made by our members said Parkhurst.

The Heart of California Quilters’ Guild, founded more than 25 years ago, meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Frank Bergon Center, 238 South D Street. For information speak to any of the guild members at the show.
