Pols acting crazy this week

We continue to live in a world of insanity. This time the insanity is focused on hamburgers and the nomination of a Supreme Court justice. The owner of In-N-Out hamburgers donated $25,000 to the Republican Party, and some Democrats seemed to go crazy. They called for a boycott of In-N-Out Burgers to make the owner of that burger chain suffer.

But here is what happened. The owners of that hamburger chain noticed a rise in their profits.

The Democrats actually made the owners of In-N-Out Burgers richer. That seems insane, doesn’t it?
Some Democrats act like they are going insane at the Senate hearings on the appointment by President Trump of Judge Brett Michael Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Kavanaugh is a lawyer who serves as a United States circuit judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Actually, the Democrats really aren’t going insane, but just acting insane. A number of Democrats were yelling things in the Senate chamber before they got tossed out, and they weren’t even senators. Some, however, were senators. U.S. Sens. Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein of California, and  Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey did everything they could to interrupt the proceedings, but to little avail. Their demeanor made Kavanaugh look like true Supreme Court material. In so doing, they probably assured Kavanaugh’s appointment.

Which seems a little crazy.
