Coyote kickoff dinner is tonight at San Joaquin Wine

The Madera Tribune File Photo Madera Coyote head football coach Yosef Fares talks to the crowd at last year’s Coyote kick-off dinner. This year’s kick-off dinner is tonight at San Joaquin Wine Company, beginning at 5 p.m.

With the football season starting a couple of weeks early, the annual Madera Coyote kick-off dinner had to move its date.

The Coyote football season will unofficially start tonight with its kick-off dinner at the San Joaquin Wine Company, 21801 Ave. 16.

Cocktail hour is from 5-6 p.m. with a catered dinner by the Madera Community Hospital beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased from any football player or by calling 675-0319.

In addition to the dinner, there will be a silent and live auction, which will again feature a Coyote football helmet signed by the football players. Traditionally, the helmet is the item that brings in the most money.

There will be a deejay and dancing to follow.

All proceeds go to the Madera Coyote football program.
