Tax collector postpones upcoming in-house tax sale

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the in-house tax sale scheduled for Wednesday that was to be held in the Board of Supervisors’ chambers has been postponed until Wednesday, July 18, Madera County Treasurer-Tax Collector Tracy Kennedy announced.

Consistent with revenue and taxation code 3701, a postponed sale must be established within 90 days of its original sale date. Therefore, the next scheduled date has been set for July in the Board of Supervisors chambers, 200 W. 4th Street, beginning at 10 a.m. All parties of interest will also be notified in writing and the right of redemption will be extended through July 17.
