Madera County Sheriff's Log for Week of Dec. 11

The following are incidents reported by the Madera County Sheriff’s Department. Dec. 11

11:10 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the area of Avenue 19 1/2 in Madera regarding grand theft of copper wire. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. The case will be forwarded to detectives for informational purposes.

11:24 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 in North Fork regarding the theft of a chainsaw. A report was written and the case was closed. Dec. 12

Deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Junction Drive in Oakhurst regarding a fraud report involving the passing of counterfeit checks. A report was taken. Currently, there are no suspects. The case will be forwarded to the detective division for possible follow up.

5:30 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 27000 block of Ivo Toneck Court in Madera to assist Madera County Child Protective Services. During the investigation it was determined that two minor children were exposed to methamphetamine while with children. A W&I hold was placed and the children were turned over to Child Protective Services. A report was written and forwarded to Child Protective Services.

Dec. 13

12:51 a.m. — Deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Avenue 13 3/4 to assist Cal Fire with an irate home owner. Upon arrival the home owner was calmed down and Cal Fire was able to put out the fire in the travel Trailer.

4:32 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 17000 block of Rodeo Drive in Madera County regarding a person who was hearing voices. Subject was contacted and statements obtained. Subject was placed on a Mental Health hold and turned over to emergency medical system for transport to Madera Community Hospital for evaluation. A report was written for documentation and then closed. Dec. 14

9:02 a.m. — Deputy met with a resident of the 25000 block of Rexburg Drive in Madera regarding threats that were made to her daughter by another student. The incident is under investigation. Dec. 16

1:31 a.m. — Madera sheriff’s deputy responded to the 25000 block of South Whitworth Drive in Madera regarding a report of a possible sexual assault on a 3-year-old child. A report was generated and forwarded to the Detective Division for follow up. Dec. 17

8:49 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding a theft report. The reporting party stated that two chainsaws were stolen from the parking lot. A report was taken.
