Stallions host first Unified matches

Madera South hosted the first County/Metro Athletic Conference Unified soccer matches on Wednesday in Memorial Stadium.


Teams from Madera, Madera South, Bullard-Fresno and Edison-Fresno played in the first matches. All four teams gathered at midfield after the matches concluded.


Unofficially, Madera South defeated Bullard 10-5 and Madera defeated Edison 8-6.


Antonio Guzman, Luis Tijero and Destiny Purcell scored goals for the Stallions. Edgar Rojas, Miguel Gutierrez and Will Jones scored goals for the Coyotes.


Unified teams consist of Unified athletes (special needs student) with a Unified partner (general education student).
