Martinez, Noel carry Fresno Grizzlies to 10-1 win over Tacoma Rainiers

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Rico Noel had three hits and scored two runs, and David Martinez struck out 10 hitters over seven innings as the Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Tacoma Rainiers 10-1 on Thursday.

Martinez (7-11) allowed one run and two hits while walking two to pick up the win.

Fresno started the scoring in the first inning when A.J. Reed hit an RBI single to score Tony Kemp.
The Grizzlies later scored in three more innings to put the game away, including four runs in the second and third innings. In the second, Alejandro Garcia drove in two runs and Tyler White drove in one, while Kemp scored on an error in the third.

Christian Bergman (9-4) went 1 2/3 innings, allowing five runs and five hits in the Pacific Coast League game. He also struck out two and walked one.

Fresno improved to 10-3 against Tacoma this season.
