FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Phillip Evans homered and singled as the Las Vegas 51s beat the Fresno Grizzlies 6-0 on Thursday.
Travis Snider doubled and singled twice for Las Vegas.
Up 1-0 in the seventh, Las Vegas added to its lead when Evans hit a solo home run.
The 51s later added three runs in the eighth and one in the ninth. In the eighth, Cody Decker drove in two runs and Jayce Boyd drove in one, while Snider hit an RBI double in the ninth.
Beck Wheeler (4-5) got the win with two innings of scoreless, three-hit relief while Fresno starter David Martinez (6-11) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.
The Grizzlies were held off the scoreboard for the third time this season, while the 51s' staff recorded their fifth shutout of the year.
