The Tap House owners, Dustin and Traci Franklin
A Madera family plans to open a new family-friendly restaurant near Home Depot with wood-fired pizza, local wines and 15 tap handles serving craft beer.
Co-owners Dustin and Traci Franklin tentatively plan to open The Tap House, 2175 N. Schnoor St., Ste. 101, on Sept. 1. The restaurant will serve customers between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays.
Craft beers will include Drakes, Barrel House, Sierra Nevada, Dust Bowl and Firestone. Wines will be from Toca and San Joaquin wineries. Bottle service will be offered.
The Franklin family “share a passion for craft beer and good food,” said Julie Herd of Madera County Economic Development Commission.
“Opening a restaurant has always been a dream of Dustin’s after completing his military service in the U.S Navy,” she said. “He and his wife felt compelled to make their investment in Madera, Dustin’s hometown where he graduated from Madera High School in 2005. Dustin and Traci want to contribute to the progress of growing Madera into a vibrant community.
“Their goal is to serve award-winning beer, specialty wine and hand-crafted pizza in a warm casual setting. The Tap House wants their patrons to feel like family when dining at their establishment.”
The Tap House is hiring and is expected to have 12 employees. Resumes may be sent by email for consideration.
