Country group to perform at local church

Roger Tripp and Christian Country will play July 23 at the Madera First Assembly of God Church, 22444 Avenue 18 1/2, at the 11 a.m. worship service. All are welcome.

Tripp was born and reared in Chowchilla, and plays lead guitar. He performs at the Friday Night Gospel Sing in Madera. He has recorded eight albums and his bands have traveled though out California.

Tripp and Christian Country perform in senior living facilities, churches, and on Facebook.

Adam Culvert, the drummer, was born and raised in Dos Palos and has been playing drums with Tripp for 13 years. He lives in Chowchilla and owns Sierra Records Music Recording Studio.

R. B. Morin, the bass guitarist, was born and brought up in Madera. He is a cancer and open heart surgery survivor. Morin performs at the Friday Night Sing. He has been playing with Tripp and Christian Country for eight months.

Bob Wood, the steel guitarist, was born and reared in Bakersfield. He played with bands in the San Jose area and has been with Christian Country for eight months. He also plays with bands in Chowchilla and Oakhurst.
