FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Cesar Puello hit a two-run triple in the fifth inning, leading the Salt Lake Bees to a 19-7 win over the Fresno Grizzlies on Wednesday.
The triple by Puello, part of a three-run inning, gave the Bees a 6-5 lead before Puello scored on a fielder's choice later in the inning.
Salt Lake later scored in three additional innings, including a seven-run eighth, when Nolan Fontana hit a two-run single to help punctuate the blowout.
Salt Lake starter Daniel Wright (4-4) picked up the win despite allowing six runs and eight hits over 5 2/3 innings. Opposing starter Casey Coleman (3-5) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed seven runs and five hits over five innings.
A.J. Reed homered and singled, scoring two runs for the Grizzlies.
With the win, Salt Lake improved to 7-2 against Fresno this season.
