FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Derek Fisher hit a three-run home run in the first inning, leading the Fresno Grizzlies to a 6-3 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Tuesday.
The home run by Fisher scored Tony Kemp and Tyler White to give the Grizzlies a 3-0 lead.
After Fresno added three runs, the Isotopes cut into the deficit with three runs in the eighth inning, including an RBI double by Ryan McMahon and an RBI single by Noel Cuevas.
Reid Brignac tripled and singled for Fresno.
Kyle Smith (1-0) got the win in relief while Albuquerque starter Matt Flemer (2-6) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game. Tyson Perez retired the side in order for his third save of the season.
Rosell Herrera singled three times for the Isotopes.
With the win, Fresno improved to 7-3 against Albuquerque this season.
